The kraal consists of 2 log cottages that each have a bedroom and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The rooms are furnished with three-quarter beds and can be converted into a king-size bed. An outdoor shower and an extra toilet are also available for use, and a place to pitch tents is available on request.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, electric stove, a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery, as well as pots and pans. Guests can also relax in the separate lapa which has a bar and a lounge. A Bushveld Jacuzzi with cold water is also available for use.
There are 2 campsites available that can each accommodate 8 guests. The 2 campsites have their own ablution facilities. Guests also have access to a swimming pool to cool off in.
Grootwater Game Lodge offers spectacular sunsets. Game drives can be booked in advance. Guests can also go for walks or enjoy cycling on the sandy farm trails. There are also various bird species on the farm and is perfect for guests who enjoy bird watching.

Of the 23 countries and countless campsites in each I've been to, I can honestly say this was likely the most well thought out site I've used. The hot water on demand is a game changer, the fire pit is delightful. There are more sinks than you know what to do with, and the trees offer the perfect amount of shade. I honestly can't say enough good things about this little space. And all the staff were great to us, answered all our questions about crossing the border on the way to Botswana. If I'm ever in the area again, I will 100% be staying again.
Lovely camp and place to visit with many facilities. The forest jacuzzi was a winner with soap in it for extra bubbles. It's very peaceful and there is a waterhole within walking distance. Had a lovely time and the host is very helpful and friendly.
A great place to get away from the city. We camped and although there are no power points, there are nice bathrooms. Each stand has its own private ablution. The children were able to swim wonderfully and tire themselves out playing in the field. Walking and cycling are wonderful on the farm. Also ideal for a stopover on the way to Botswana!
The lodges are situated in a quiet and secluded part of the estate. There is room for additional campers and/or camper vans as part of the area, with power and plenty of washing/ablutions facilities. Each chalet is compact in size but has all the amenities you need. There is also a central communal kitchen. In the kitchen, there is a stove and oven, microwave and gas hob. Due to load shedding, we could not use the electrical appliances and the gas hob was not connected, however, this has been reported to the hosts who have confirmed they will remedy this. The hosts met us upon arrival and we received a friendly welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for them in order to make our stay comfortable.
Beautiful space with a lot of seats, a pingpong table, a bar, a proper kitchen, nice beds and showers. Beautiful place to stay at!
The animals were rare because the forest is so dense. Would recommend that the viewing is done on foot. The bush jacuzzi is a hit, especially on hot days. Would like to see a bar fridge in the relaxation area and brighter lights for the bookworms.
The only place where you find peace for your soul is in the forest. What made it more enjoyable was the hospitality of Monica. The chalets are both equipped with their own bathrooms. Ideal for going a group that also likes to camp. Also a separate bathroom for the campers. I thoroughly enjoyed the forest kitchen. Men naturally saw the boma as a hit. Saw quite a lot of wildlife, giraffe, kudus, impalas and blesboks. Guess the other game was just shy of us with the 7 year old boy who was with us. We could only use the forest jacuzzi on the 2nd last day due to the blessing of rain for the woodland. Is there a next time? For sure!
